The Best Ant Killer Already In The Pantry!

Summer is upon us! That means popsicles, lemonade, and fresh fruit! But that also means bugs. So many bugs. We always have the worst ants. With the little ones running around, dropping juice boxes and popsicle sticks not to be found until well after the ants have, we went through many many methods. No matter what we do, between the chalk lines and the store bought ant killer, this is the only thing that has worked for us!

Summer after summer I watched my parents as they strapped things to the hose, hammered things into the ground, and sprinkled powders over the grass. A lot of the treatments had to be stopped because they weren't well for the Biggie (the dog). We've lived in the same house for seven years now and last summer the ants were unbearable. After doing a bit of digging, I found this recipe somewhere deep in the internet.

I made this and within days the ants had diminished in numbers. It's so simple, why not try it out? What do you have to lose but your any problem??

What you'll need:
A dish of some sort (I always use things like bottle caps)
Baking soda
Powdered Sugar

Mix one part Baking Soda, and one part Powdered Sugar and pour it into your bottle cap. Set in near the mound and wait!

Due to the similar grain size of baking soda and powdered sugar, ants cannot tell the difference! The Baking soda is toxic to ants and will eradicate your problem rather quickly!

Our house also had a bee problem that I took care of about a month ago that I will also post a recipe for, so check for that!

Do you have other tricks to get rid of ants?
Leave them in the comments!
